Welcome to Family Faith Formation!
At the heart of our program is the family, your family! Pope Francis said, "The family is the place where parents become their children's first teachers in the faith”.
What is Family Faith Formation?
Rather than simply sending children off to classes on their own, we want families to journey together in their faith. Parents, children, and even grandparents come together to learn, pray, and grow together in their understanding of God’s love.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE DISCIPLES!
Our vision for Family Faith Formation here at John XXIII is to create an encouraging and supportive environment where families will grow in their faith together. Our goal is to provide resources, encouragement and opportunities that are accessible and relevant to all families!
Family Faith Formation meets once a month (September-May) at either our Sunday morning Family Mass and/or Wednesday evening Family Mass (see calendar). Along with our monthly Family Masses you will be given weekly newsletter style reading materials that will be done at home under your instruction. These newsletters may include reading passages from the Bible, asking questions and finding answers about our faith or reflecting on other lesson content. We also offer a Children's Liturgy of the Word program every Sunday (see calendar) at our 9:30am Mass.
Family Faith Formation is ALWAYS open and welcoming new families!
Here at John XXIII children in 3rd grade begin to prepare for the sacraments. Sacramental prep students follow the same calendar and curriculum of our Family Faith Formation program. There will be additional study materials and required program dates outside of Family Faith Formation (see calendar).
