Sister Theresa Chato is a Navajo born into the Edge of Water clan (mother’s clan) and Black Streak Wood People clan (father’s clan). Sister Theresa will be speaking to us about the integration of the Catholic faith and Native American spirituality and will explain some of the challenges faced by families living on the reservation that she serves in Chinle, Az. at Our Lady of Fatima parish. She has been a Sister of the Blessed Sacrament for over 50 years. She was recently the focus of an article in a national Catholic magazine, Extension, with the title, "The Wisdom and Resilience of Navajo Women."
